Job Responsibilities: * Under minimal supervision performs a variety of highly complex technical tasks which require a substantial understanding of engineering techniques and all technical objectives. * Provide mentoring in the use of an increasingly complex engineering tool set. * Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. * Perform as member of a technical team utilizing effective communication skills including leadership role and interaction with higher level leadership and customers. Actively promotes team decision making. * Provides technical recommendations for capital expense and service acquisition. * Utilizes automated test or design software. Highly proficient at data analysis using required software tools. * Generates programming scripts or macros for data acquisition or analysis. * Demonstrates use of resources to enhance job and product performance. * Is viewed as a technical resource to others. * Conducts engineering tests and analyzes data to support recommended design changes when applicable. * Works from minimal documentation written or verbal instructions schematics rough sketches diagrams layouts and plans often requiring interpretation. * Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. * Applies significant electronic theory to configure model layout prototype build test troubleshoot determine solutions and modify electronic product for engineering efforts applicable to the department or program charter. * May assist engineers with design and development of new processes and/or products.
- Associate's degree or, in absence of a degree, three years of work experience required * U.S. Citizenship * Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance required * Substantial understanding of engineering techniques and all technical objectives * Works from minimal documentation, written or verbal instructions, schematics, rough sketches, diagrams, layouts and plans often requiring interpretation * High level and quality of Build skills
