Rockwell Collins is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Systems-Software Engineering position in our Government Systems Flight Management Applications department. Located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, this position’s primary responsibility is to develop system requirements, create software, establish test cases, implement test software, and perform testing on a variety of rotary and fixed wing applications.
This individual must have and understanding of the design and development phases of the life cycle specific to software and systems engineering. Demonstrated success in a team environment is critical as this individual would be operating in an AGILE development environment with other development teams.
Any experience with aerospace, avionics, and electronics is preferred.

Other responsibilities and job requirements include:
Experience with software tools (Python, ADA, Matlab)
Experience with system engineering (developing and performing tests)
Experience with electronics equipment and testing
Time management skills - ability to work unsupervised, multi-task and coordinate work
Effective communication (written, verbal, interpersonal)
Willingness to travel (domestic and international <10%)
Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.
