Our AviNet Global Data Network Solutions provides a diverse array of network and messaging services, including AviNet Airport, enterprise Hub, eHub Connector and Connector+, whilst through our GLOBALink Air / Ground Data Link Communications, we remain the Industry leader in aircraft data link communications.
The successful candidate will be part of the EMEA Network Services team. They will be responsible for leading the implementation and deployment team within the EMEA team.
Responsible for resource management: Prioritizing work and resources to ensure that there is a proper work distribution amongst their people. Follow established practices and procedures and is actively involved to complete day to day operations.
Responsible for workforce planning: Selection of future employees, development, and performance management of current employees
They will also be working directly with airline customers to design and implement connectivity solutions based on the AviNet suite of services;
Acting as a technical liaison between the US Factory and Engineering teams, EMEA Sales and EMEA customers;
Supporting business development initiatives by providing technical advice and maintaining an end-user perspective (e.g., requirements definition and solution specifications).
Providing business unit technical support, including presentations directly to the customer and industry, including customer education and targeted product technical sales support;
Providing business unit technical support to bids and proposals.
Identifies and pursues follow-on/add-on work with current customer.
Introduces existing products to current customers.
Customer interface in a defined area. Maintains and enhances good customer relationships.
Provides technical guidance to less experienced personnel.
Ensuring that day to day business is conducted within the guidelines of established contracts, company policies and procedures
As the role is customer focused and may require face-to-face contact with both existing and potential customers, first impressions are vitally important. The successful candidate will be required to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct at all times.
The role requires a proactive attitude when dealing with customer issues, whether in the office or on the road. The ideal candidate will also have the responsibility for managing customer expectations, relaying to customers what can and cannot be achieved, in an effective and positive way.
The role requires the ability and flexibility to travel throughout the EMEA region, sometimes on short notice, to provide customer support.
Requires significant experience in IP and network technologies and familiarity with related disciplines.
Excellent customer oriented attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
Proactive and self-motivated, able to show initiative.
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure.
Strong organisational, communication (written and verbal) and administrative skills.
Target / deadline focused, with the ability to prioritise and manage a high degree of multi-tasking.
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
Possess knowledge with IATA Type A, Type B, and familiarity with Aviation messaging systems.
Previous experience working in a successful network pre-sales experience, ideally in either an Aviation or Telecoms environment.
Experience within the aviation sector particularly airline operational IT systems or connectivity solutions
