Job Summary

This position is concerned with performing a variety of functions in the development, implementation and revision of Manufacturing Engineering processes and procedures. Provides assistance to Industrial Engineering, Test Engineering and Design Engineers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work in coordination with the work team to which it was assigned, seeking that the Lean philosophy is being applied, that is, it identifies the opportunities for improvement of the area and verifies that these are embodied in the area VSM.

  • Actively participate and provide support in defining necessary actions in the assigned area, so that they support the achievement of goals that are linked to the maturity of the cell and level of 5S's.

  • Provide and / or coordinate the necessary basic training such as: 5S, Basic Lean Tools, Error-proofing, VSM training, CM Change Management, among others that support the growth of Lean culture and also the implementation and initiatives in your area and other areas.

  • Provide support to the team in the preparation of a 5S workshop and in the development of it. Seeking in all cases not to take roads that lead us to encourage waste, down flow, etc. Taking special care for safety measures and evacuation routes.

  • Inform in cases where the actions are of impact at the plant level, they must maintain communication with all those involved [Managers, Engineers, Department Heads, Coordinators and other stakeholders] in the progress and achievements of initiatives or events that are for develop, develop or conclusions. This will achieve a standardization in the application of the conclusions that help us to have the best and most impressive results at the company level.

  • Promote and maintain the motivation of the teams to achieve the established achievements; explaining what the benefits of the improvements made are and explaining why we should not take steps that lead us to regress in the achieved achievements. Example level of achievements in 5's and achievements achieved in manufacturing cells.

  • Make assessments of the different work teams [cells] with regard to 5's and maturity of the cell; this in order that we maintain a level of objectivity that allows us to continue growing and we are standardizing the evaluation criteria. You must fully understand the scope of each of the 5's and provide support in solving and improving the observations made.

  • Make evaluations of existing cells using the matrices and their knowledge at each of the different points, such as: Measurements, 5's, Standard Work, Visual Controls, Problem Solving / Corrective-Preventive Actions, Continuous Flow Implementation, Knowledge Lean-Skills tools for the use and management of them and Lean Culture. Provide help and guidance on how we can advance in each of them.

  • Promote and support manufacturing teams in solving problems.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Electronics, Industrial, Computer or Manufacturing Engineering.

  • English level- 80%

  • Basic knowledge in Lean Manufacturing Tools: VSM, Visual Control, 5s, etc.
