Advanced Thermal Sciences Corporation (ATS) is a leading supplier of temperature control systems (TCS). Markets served include semiconductor/microelectronics, solar, laser, food and beverage, aerospace, military, and more. ATS manufactures standard and custom engineered products to provide customers with the right solution. Advanced Thermal Sciences is looking for an energetic Material Handler to join our team at our Anaheim, CA site.

SUMMARY

Transfers material, equipment, kits, parts and supplies; facilitating an efficient flow through the production/assembly area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Physically transfers material to assembly work stations; transfers completed assemblies between work areas or cost centers.

Maintains bench stock.

Locates materials and transfers parts within the plant.

Verifies and maintains stock documentation and shortage reports.

May utilize small hand tools and operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet handlers, skids, and hand trucks.

May provide direction and training to lower-level associates.

Reads blueprints to verify incoming parts.

Communicates daily with vendors, customers and fellow associates.

Performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two-to-four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

May require forklift certification.
