Advanced Thermal Sciences Corporation (ATS) is a leading supplier of temperature control systems (TCS). Markets served include semiconductor/microelectronics, solar, laser, food and beverage, aerospace, military, and more. ATS manufactures standard and custom engineered products to provide customers with the right solution. Advanced Thermal Sciences is looking for an energetic Senior Supply Chain Manager to join our team at our Anaheim, CA site.

SUMMARY

Overall responsibility for the performance of the Strategic aspects of the supply chain for the ATS business including current production and all future development programs

  • Defining commodity strategies to ensure each part of the business is meeting quality, cost and delivery KPIs and minimizing stock/cash commitments

  • Responsible for the BOM costs for all products

  • Implementation and maintenance of LTAs and PAs to secure long term profitability of the products

  • Quarterly reviews with key suppliers

  • Implementation and support of processes for long term forecasting to vendors

  • Supplier communication strategy and implementation

  • Maintenance of all standards on systems

  • MRP data integrity for lead-times and standards including transitions between systems as applicable

  • Minimize the number of vendors while maintaining direct control of supply chain

  • Work with R&D departments managing supplier interface for innovative products protecting our IP and control of products

  • Management of robust, transparent and auditable quotation processes

  • Implementation and execution of corporate supply chain tools

  • Work with Quality department to ensure that all vendors have appropriate quality systems and regular auditing is completed through prioritization based on spend and risk

  • Implement a commercial audit oversight process to identify suppliers who may be at risk

  • Support and work closely with the Tactical Procurement team to ensure supplier performance is in line with required and contracted terms

  • Ensure the supply chain team support in a timely manner change management, sample validation and receipt of components to meet program timing, commercial and quality objectives

  • Ensure conformance to departmental procedures in all activities

  • Management of MRP strategies

  • Orchestrate transfer of purchased components to low cost sources as appropriate

  • Role will develop in to an expanded scope of global responsibilities

  • Accountable for the Strategic aspects of Supply Chain Management and the execution of these agreed strategies

  • Line management accountability for the purchasing managers and the buying teams comprising tactical and strategic buyers and analyst support

  • Requires job specific proficiency and good working knowledge of standard practices, procedures and protocols

  • Interprets and applies data analysis, procedures and policies

  • Develops higher-level knowledge and skills required to independently resolve complex issues and perform most sophisticated assignments

  • Interfaces with Corporate Teams, Engineering, Certification, Program Management, Stores & Shipping and Finance internally

  • Externally liaises with suppliers, and some interface with customers and competitors

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of eight years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Materials Management background

  • Experience working with MRP/ERP Systems

  • Able to demonstrate previous experience of designing and implementing supply chain strategies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in refrigeration

  • Proficient or fluent in Japanese
