Job Summary

In this role you will assist Project Managers with project management activities such as managing purchases, monitoring schedule activities, and preparing reports.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the project managers in daily administrative activities.

  • Perform project control functions that include coordination with corporate support functions (finance, HR, purchasing, billing, A/P), and also coordination with customer staff on submittals and project schedules.

  • Interface with engineers to obtain status on daily activities.

  • Manage project paperwork including filing, organizing, preparing letters, and attending meetings, and taking notes.

  • Manage subcontractor financials for staff augmentation contractors.

  • Review and process contractor timesheets and invoices as well as conducting contractor orientation.

  • Follow direction and execute duties given by Project Managers in a timely manner.

  • Prepare quotations for purchasing equipment, software, etc.

  • Assist with submission of project deliverables.

  • Support audits of project documentation and other artifacts.

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of project schedules

  • Support the Project Management Organization (PMO) as requested. This may entail tracking new business and change orders, creating resource reports, user group conferences and ad hoc activities as requested.

  • Act as a SharePoint owner including site content, training, and permission control

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience

  • Experience providing support to Project Managers on customer-funded projects, or similar experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of Excel.

  • Good working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong written and verbal communications.

  • A highly-organized, eager, and energetic individual is required.

  • Experience with project management tools.

Desired Experience:

  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) is a plus.

  • SharePoint and configuration management experience is a plus
