Rockwell Collins IMS is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering to join their Ground Systems and Applications team located in the Annapolis, Maryland. Rockwell Collins IMS provides communication products and services for commercial and business airline customers. The Ground Systems and Applications team develops systems and solutions for a high availability 24x7 aviation data link service.
The candidate will perform full life-cycle software development including eliciting customer and technical requirements; designing system and software solutions; and implementing, integrating and testing developed solutions. Our Linux based software is part of a mission critical aviation communications network where protocols and high availability are integral to the software development. The candidate will develop on multiple applications including: VHF and HF Ground Stations and ATN Routers.
Experience 5-15 years: Prefer Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with Linux and some leadership
Experience > 15 years: Prefer Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with Linux and Protocol or Algorithmic development and some leadership
The ideal candidate will have led small software development teams.
The ideal candidate must possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills for working in a team environment.

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
