Corporate Responsibilities:

  • Perform job functions consistent to the corporate vision mission statements and the core values of the company; ensures that subordinate employees perform their respective functions in like manner.

  • Ensure that departmental standards are in compliance with good manufacturing practices and AS9100 requirements and that departmental performance meets quality, cost and delivery.

  • Assist immediate superior in the planning, organizing, and controlling the operation and activities of the department; prepares and secures approval of the budget in support of such operations and activities.

  • Participate in the development of company objectives, strategies, plans & programs in the areas of manpower, planning, recruitment, training and development, compensation, benefits, personnel policy and records administration and employee relations.

  • Warehouse: Coordinating the activity of the stores team to ensure optimum utilisation of resource and the highest levels of service.

  • Attending and representing the function at regular production meetings

  • Working closely within the cell team and co-operating with all other areas of the business to achieve a friendly, productive environment.

  • Using JDE and associated reports to establish shop floor part requirements.

  • The picking and issuance of all necessary materials and services for the cells, offsite facilities and external customers in line with requested dates.

  • Maintain and report on a weekly basis a high level of stock accuracy using cycle counting methods.

  • To compile the monthly E&O stock reports for submission to the various e-marketplace websites.

  • To provide management with timely and accurate information on stores activity on a monthly basis.

  • Facilitate the receipt of all parts delivered from vendors ensuring that all delivery paperwork is correct.

  • To maintain a high level of housekeeping within stores.

  • To ensure that all parts are stored correctly and neatly to avoid any damage or H&S risks.

  • Understands and fully complies with all of the company health and safety policies

  • Demonstrates a good duty of care to both themselves and those around them

  • Responsible for facilitating any required improvements using Continuous Improvement techniques to remove unnecessary waste from all day to day activities.

  • Provide training and meeting; disseminate information to newly hired employee, mentoring or on-the-job coaching activities.

  • Develop operational plans for the section.

  • Check and review necessary documents, reports and records to ensure accuracy of inventory stocks and to ensure proper stocking level is achieved which will serve as basis for planning activities in order to meet inventory turns. Coordinate findings to planning sections for proper action.

  • Conducts regular and or spot check inventories of parts, finished goods, supplies, or equipment.

  • Must be knowledgeable on warehouse procedures and techniques including sorting, stacking of stocks etc.

  • Should be aware of applicable laws, rules, regulations and/or policies and procedures

  • Ensure compliance to occupational health, safety and security on work place and energy conservation program

  • Supervise others by assigning/directing work; conducting employee evaluations, staff training and development, taking appropriate disciplinary/corrective actions, making hiring/termination recommendations, etc.

  • Develop and/or implement new policies/procedures/standards and/or rules/regulations

  • Ensure participation of team members with company programs such as the 5s and energy conservation, and compliance with the quality management system, health, and safety and security regulations to meet departmental goals and objectives.

  • Performance appraisal; prepares initial recommendation on personnel transactions such as extension of contract, change in employment status, transfer, or termination.

  • Perform such other duties and responsibilities analogous, germane or related to and / or implied from the above enumeration of duties and responsibilities

  • Participate in collegial planning for policies, procedures and systems, problem solving, decision making and performance monitoring through participation in standing and ad hoc committees, task forces, and project teams


  • Experience of leading a small team

  • Ability to delegate tasks both verbally and in written format

  • At least 4 year(s) of working experience in Materials Management, Warehouse Operation, Logistics or related field is required for this position and must have knowledge in JD Edwards System
