Perform assignments requiring use and application of electrical engineering or scientific development principles and techniques. Assignments usually consist of solving problems that are a part of a larger project or system. Uses independent judgment to make decisions in day-to-day job responsibilities the majority of the time under general supervision.
Contribute to hardware engineering requirements documentation in the creation and analysis for components of electrical designs.
Demonstrate skills for the design, test and documentation of hardware based on established design requirements and design approach. Includes elements of digital design with accumulating knowledge of software, firmware, power, digital testing, etc.
Demonstrate knowledge of printed circuit board schematic and layout processes, component selection, design to cost, engineering procurement, engineering lab processes, hardware qualification processes, change management, and factory transition processes (potentially including a rotation as a collateral engineer).
Work at system level in creation of components interconnect methods, including cabling.
Provides engineering estimates for own work on tasks similar to those previously performed.
Acquires understanding and utilizes the appropriate RC processes and tools during product development, resulting in increased product quality and improving customer satisfaction.
Individual job duties may vary.
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residence (green card) is required.
