The Power Electronics Center of Excellence (PECoE) is highly skilled engineering organization within Rockwell Collins, supporting the military and commercial aviation businesses by designing high-reliability power electronics solutions. The major functions provided by the PECoE include design development engineering, advanced technology development, strategic sourcing, and technical project management.
The ideal candidate will have experience in power electronics design (power supplies, EMI filters, etc.). The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, self-directed, and capable of working in a multi-disciplined team environment with a positive attitude and perform effectively. The candidate must have good oral and written communication skills for conveying technical approaches, trade-offs, risk assessments, and recommendations. The ideal candidate is a willing mentor/mentee, multitasks successfully, and is adaptable to the changing demands of a competitive corporate environment.
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.
Experience with various power levels and frequency ranges, DC/DC and AC/DC power conversion designs (topologies, components, control, packaging, etc.)
Experience with prototyping, debugging, and conduct engineering tests
Familiarity with simulation tools
