Prepares technical specifications and Engineering Change Orders for components, materials, and processes for purchased items using technical data provided by the Application Engineer, adheres to Configuration Management procedures with regards to documentation release and revision and adheres to guidelines as established through the Application Engineering Specification Writer functional team to ensure consistent documentation practice across the Supply Chain Management organization.
Prepare technical procurement documentation for components and materials.
Prepare Engineering Change Orders for components and materials.
Assign Engineering Change Order numbers, and new part numbers for components and materials in accordance with procedures.
Ensure conformance of Engineering Change Orders to Rockwell Collins Configuration Control procedures.
Ensure the use of consistent documentation format through the use of templates.
Obtain any necessary approvals for Engineering Change Orders.
Process new documents and document revisions.
Complete work through use of a set of computer-based tools including a tracking system, a Product Data Management System, and an e-mail system.
Coordinate figure creation and revision with the Drafting organization.
Prioritize own work when working in a relatively stable to moderately stable environment.
Assist in the training/development of more junior peers to the extent defined by immediate supervisor.
Identify process improvement opportunities.
High School Diploma or equivalent
US Citizenship or Permanent Resident
Experience with Desktop publishing or documentation software preferred
SAP or simillar ERP system experience preferred
