Interprets engineering SW designs and utilizes appropriate test software, tools and diagnostic utilities to test software for sequence and functionality.

Normally receives detailed instructions on all work, but follows established procedures on routine work. Requires instructions on new assignments. Works under close supervision.
Contacts are primarily within immediate work unit. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information requiring little explanation or interpretation.
Works on assignments that are routine in nature, but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice. Errors can be easily and quickly detected within the immediate work unit and would result only in a minor disruption or expense to correct.
Little or no knowledge of the job. Moderate understanding of general job aspects and some understanding of the detailed aspects of the job. Acquires & applies job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine & assigned tasks.
Identifies and documents exact sequence of activities that produce malfunctions; writes, modifies, debugs and verifies source code as required; characterizes defects (provides descriptions for passing and failing tests for product evaluation reports).
Associates degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of an associate's degree three years of related experience
