The Test Engineering & Services Center of Excellence is seeking to fill a Test Engineering position with a talented Software Technician. The primary responsibility of this position is to develop, document, test and release software for RF products. Test Engineering offers an array of innovative test equipment solutions for Rockwell Collins products and programs. We serve internal customers, including our manufacturing and service centers, as well as external customers – domestic and international.
The technician who fills this position must have good software development, troubleshooting and problem solving skills. The primary software languages used are C# and NI TestStand on multi-rack test stations. Some LabVIEW knowledge is desirable, but it is not our main development platform. Typical test stations include components such as switch systems, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, DMM's, power supplies and other RF or digital related equipment.
Typical responsibilities may include:
Design, code, test, integrate and document production test software of moderate complexity for RF products
Run software on the factory floor to find errors
Set up and coordinate test software and documentation design reviews
Release of test software and documents
US Citizenship is required. Candidate must have the ability to obtain a US DoD Security Clearance.
Programming experience with C#
Programming experience with LabVIEW will be helpful
Some knowledge of RF and digital electronics
Some familiarity with test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters, Signal Generators, etc.
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
