Job Title: Sr. Data Scientist

Job Summary

The Business Analytics team is an application delivery team within the Engineering & IT organization that builds value through data management, data visualization and data science services. The team works with senior leaders to discover previously hidden insights and enables a new generation of connected intelligence and digital transformation through innovation in deep learning and artificial intelligence. The team’s innovation provides a competitive advantage, solves business problems and impacts how we run our business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Applies machine learning techniques to develop and manage algorithms.

  • Implements and deploys scalable, supportable solutions.

  • Transforms, analyzes and extracts actionable intelligence from various business systems and data sources.

  • Translates business problems into technical solutions and drives adoption with users.

  • Provide thought leadership by researching best practices, conducting experiments, and collaborating with industry leaders

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong influence, analytical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills.

  • 4+ years experience developing data science solutions

  • A STEM related degree (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Information Systems) or equivalent experience in technical field. Advanced degrees preferred.

  • Fluency in computer science fundamentals and software design/engineering.

  • Proficiency in Python programming, debugging and code optimization.

  • Experience using machine learning and deep learning tools and frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, CNTK, NLTK, R, Caffe.

  • Experience with databases, data mining structured and unstructured data, distributed computing, statistics and cloud technologies.

  • Familiarity with visualization, information delivery and storytelling tools such as D3, Tableau or SAP Lumira.

  • Previous work history including information technology, analytics, programming, mathematics, sciences, or engineering and ability to learn domain knowledge and evaluate business opportunities.
