Job Summary

Plans and/or controls inventory of Service for warehouses, distribution centers and repair locations to meet sales, distribution, and/or rental exchange demand. Analyzes inventory levels, inventory positioning, and planned production and purchasing demands. Develops and maintains computerized inventory system.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain replenishment model information, including monitoring the accuracy of weekly data, history, network changes, lead-times, new products, pricing and customer service performance goals, and updating as required.

  • Manages inventories through analysis and operations of the replenishment system, including maintaining inputs to computerized inventory system. Includes monitoring of part availability, repair turnaround, inventory levels and assures support requirements and schedules are met.

  • Coordinates with purchasing, production planning, and warehouse personnel to ensure appropriate routing, scheduling, and storing of goods.

  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.

  • Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives. Effects of decisions are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

  • Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered an expert in field within the organization. Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

  • May be assigned to provisioning, inventory management, spares, replenishment and/or return areas.

  • Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience

  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency

  • SAP Required (Inventory Management is preferred)

  • Aircraft Platform/Systems knowledge preferred
