This position works within the Rockwell Collins Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Finance Project organization. The Sr Software Developer is responsible for design, development and maintenance of new and existing reporting solutions within FP&A. This position works as part of a team, which includes the department‘s Business Process Analysts, to understand customer requirements and data sources to create technical and process solutions for internal customers. The team is focused on the development and delivery of solutions that create efficiencies within the FP&A analyst team
Defining, developing, testing , and implementation of tool solutions from simple to complex applications
Performing business analysis of systems and follow through the full development life cycle
Coordinating , implementing, and communicating system change requirements
Translating business needs into technical requirements
Investigating and understanding new technologies
Supporting Solutions by troubleshooting and completing root cause analyst of data issues
Understanding of key financial reporting systems, Hyperion (HP/HFM), SAP and BW would be beneficial, along with demonstrated experience of applying LEAN principles to determine root cause and problem solving. Knowledge of Rockwell Collins business processes would be ideal.
Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience
C#.net & Visual Studio
SQL Development ( MS preferred)
Additional desirable technical skills are:
Web Development experience: MS/Angular/Telerik
Microsoft SQL & IIS Server Administration Experience
VBA and MS Office Automation experience
Successful candidate will have the following skills:

Application documentation skills
Willingness to learn
Successful Candidates will need demonstrate proficiency by completing a SQL development test.
