Job Summary

Come be a part of the Business and Regional Systems Rig Development and Support team. The engineer in this position will be developing and maintaining simulation software and configuration databases that are essential for system integration of Rockwell Collins avionics systems.

This role requires a motivated individual with a broad range of skills and knowledge in systems, software and hardware engineering. This role will lead to the individual having opportunities to learn overall aspects of avionics systems from the unique perspective of the Rig Development and Support Team. The individual filling the role has the opportunity to quickly be recognized as a valuable resource by executing tasks necessary for the support of multiple ongoing programs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Working with teammates and program engineers to coordinate work planning and task execution.

  • Requirements capture for software development to meet program and system needs

  • Maintaining and developing simulation software for systems integration environment (development can be in C, C++, Labview or other language)

  • Responsible for documenting current procedures and future process improvement

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.

  • Must have proficient experience in software development

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required

Additional skills a plus:

  • Experience developing in Labview

  • Knowledge of systems engineering including system testing

  • Knowledge of full software development lifecycle
