Become part of the growing Government Systems Communication Products Organization. As a systems engineer, you will design and develop communication products covering all spectrum bands, across multiple airborne and ground platforms. You will work with customers, engineering management, program management, engineering teams, production, and subcontractors to create solutions supporting both domestic and international customers.
We are seeking individuals with the technical skills and personal leadership attributes to help develop communications systems in both new and established radio product markets. The successful candidate will have an understanding of systems engineering development processes and will participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle to create our communication products. Key responsibilities include: system and subsystem requirements analysis, definition, and validation; systems design and architecture; integration and verification testing; leading and supporting technical collaboration among systems, hardware, and software design teams; resolution of technical problems that cross functional domain areas of hardware/software; and development of systems related documentation.
A Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM program including Computer Science OR other bachelor degree in a STEM program (including Computer Science) that included 12 semester (or 18 quarter) credit hours in mathematics, including differential and integral calculus and applied mathematics and 10 semester (or 15 quarter) credit hours in natural science (biology, chemistry, earth sciences) including physics is required.
US Citizenship is required.
Must possess or be eligible for obtaining and maintaining a U.S. DOD Secret Clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.
Knowledge or experience using the systems development process and tools.
Understanding of the full product lifecycle.
Strong written and oral technical communications skills
Ability to work well within a team structure
Knowledge or experience in communications engineering fundamentals
Familiarity with general radio transceiver architectures and designs, basic radio functional component blocks, performance specifications, military radio communications concept of operations, and systems test methodologies
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Knowledge or experience in Information Assurance design
Knowledge or experience in software development
Knowledge or experience in system requirements capture, design, and decomposition ability
Understanding of system validation and verification processes for technical product development; able to generate test descriptions and perform evaluation and testing of product systems
Ability to effectively interact and build trust with team members from many different backgrounds, including engineering management, engineering teams, program management, business development, and finance
Ability to support occasional travel to domestic and international locations
