At Teklam, we design to manufacture honeycomb composite panels and have build to print capabilities, as well as the ability to provide value added services, and custom details including curved panels. Our panels are used in lavatories, furniture, inflight systems within the aerospace industry. As part of the Advanced Lavatories and Cabin Interiors team (ALCI) selected for the Boeing 737 Modular Lavatory, we manufacture the panels for this 10 year $800 million contract.
As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Temporary Material Handler in our Teklam business located in Corona, CA.
Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Material Handler will be responsible to transfer material, equipment, kits, parts and supplies, facilitating an efficient flow through the production/assembly area.
Physically transfers material to assembly work stations; transfers completed assemblies between work areas or cost centers.
Locates materials and transfers parts within the plant.
Visually inspect & receive incoming materials.
Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries.
Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.
Unload packages from incoming trucks
Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged.
Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, PO info etc.).
Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements.
Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place.
Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.
Verifies and maintains stock documentation and shortage reports.
Reads blueprints to verify incoming parts.
Communicates daily with vendors, customers and fellow associates.
Performs other related duties as required.
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience.
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate verbally and in written form.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
Well organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
Desire to identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead projects to make improvements to processes, procedures, etc.
