The Lavatories division of Rockwell Collins formerly B/E Aerospace is the sole source lavatory provider for the Boeing 737 MAX program. The Lavatories Advanced Lavatory is a cutting edge product, offering a unique value proposition that allows airlines to increase revenue and lower operational cost. Our highly dedicated team is situated next to Paine Field in Everett, Washington. From this state of the art manufacturing and engineering facility, the Lavatories business supports its global airline customer base as well as the OEM.
As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Project Engineer in our Lavatories business located in Everett, WA.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Project Engineer manages all aspects of a project from start to finish according to specifications, schedule, and within budget. They will serve as liaison between project management and other parties involved. The Project Engineer will review statuses of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. They will be responsible for developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Requires an ability to perform and design engineer functions, interpret principles, theories, and concepts of an engineering specialty.
Functions as part of the engineering management team leading the projects assigned.
Works with the Engineering Manager to complete programs, and drive the planning and design efforts from inception through production both in new product design and in existing product redesign for the specified project.
Serves as the primary technical contact point, both internal and external, within a specified project for all aspects of design and implementation.
Recommends engineering techniques to solve problems, engineer a product and make design recommendations.
Assesses applicability, feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering tests/products/equipment to assigned project.
Coordinate with functional managers the work needed from shared and assigned resources.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from four-year College or University; and five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working in the Aerospace industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
Previous project leadership experience
