Job Summary

Responsibilities for the account management, orders forecast and capture of Rockwell Collins products, systems and services for the assigned accounts within a given territory.

Job Responsibilities

Our organization is seeking a highly qualified account manager to join our sales force. The primary responsibility of this role is to engage with US airlines, leasing customers, and brokers for the purpose of building strong relationships and generating new business revenue.

Reporting to the Director of Sales in the western region of the US, the person in this role will support the enterprise and air transport business unit goals and objectives to by meeting personal and regional sales goals.

· Prospecting and build new business, which typically accounts for 75% of the time spent in the role

· Transitioning prospects into active clients through a consultative and challenger sales approach

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field, a Master’s degree preferred

  • Must be a self starter and have direct face to face customer experience

  • Have 2+ years of sales and business development in the aviation industry or equivalent

  • Desire to build relationships with executive-level audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate skillfully in tough situations with internal and external stakeholders

  • Knows how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal network

  • Pursue sales opportunities with energy, drive, and passion

  • Be comfortable and command attention in a variety of formal presentation settings: one-on-one, small and large groups

  • Ability to multi-task, juggle many high priority activities at once, and respond in a timely manner

  • Willingness and ability to travel in excess of 50%

  • Experience using salesforce.com to manage sales pipeline, preferred
