As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Quality Engineer in our Executive Aircraft Seating business located in Medley, FL.
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Engineer is responsible for planning and directing activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials and products. This is a hands-on role that interacts with Assembly Operators, Quality Inspectors, and Manufacturing and Process Engineers to proactively ensure quality and deliver products to continue to delight our customers.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs professional Quality Engineering assignments of considerable complexity under direction with considerable discretion as to work details.
Designs, installs and continually evaluates complex quality assurance and/or control methods and systems.
Analyzes reports and returned products to determine quality trends and recommends correction action.
May participate in materials review activities to determine material disposition.
Develops standards and procedures to provide quality guidance and methods.
May assign work to inspectors and technicians.
Works closely with Program Teams to develop risk analysis
Manages the compliance of the quality activities of multiple programs and product lines through the application of system, product, and process audits to the requirements of the FAA approved data.

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Engineering.
Minimum of two years related experience in Quality Engineering.
Experience working with Program Teams for new product launch.
Experience with Control Plans.
Experience completing and submitting First Article/Product Approval (FAI).
Experience with root cause and corrective action.
Experience applying Quality standards in an Aerospace, automotive or office furniture manufacturing organizations.
Experience using APQP tools.
Experience with Design FMEA and Process FMEAs.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Well organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
Shows initiative and sound judgment when working independently or in a team.
Demonstrated ability to independently resolve complex issues and develop and implement solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrate ability to build credibility with, interact with, and influence suppliers, customers and key stakeholders.
