Job Summary

The Regulatory Data Specialist role in Quality Systems and Compliance is a growth and development opportunity that provides an advanced education of Rockwell Collins processes and functional areas and is an entry level matrix leadership position designed to provide experience, training and mentorship in preparation for direct leadership roles.

Job Responsibilities

AS9100/ISO9001 Compliance and Certification

  • Coordinate internal auditor training

  • QMS/OES internal assessment and compliance support

  • External QMS audit coordination

  • Lean tools mentor/facilitator

  • Manage Melbourne cell and site Corrective Action Board Activity – Initiate, Assign, Manage, Facilitate and Review ARs

  • Melbourne Site Quality Focal Point and Coordinator for ABS-QE certification activity

Customer Quality Plan review and response with Customer Quality

Management Review Coordination

Stop Ship/Material Stop Coordination

Service Bulletin Review/Approval

Awareness Bulletins/Production Alerts

Rockwell Collins Governance Council Policy Writing, Review and Approval

Coordinate Melbourne site review of proposed documentation changes

Communicate Documentation Changes to Melbourne Site

Potential Additional Roles and Responsibilities:

  • FAA/EASA/CAAC Repair Station Chief Inspector leading certificated repairman in support of repair, inspection and return to service product certification

  • Quality representative coordinating regulatory compliance with civil aviation authorities and customer quality interface.

  • FAA Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) focal point and coordinator

  • First Article Inspection project manager

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience

· U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card) required

· Must have computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP

· Must be a dedicated professional committed to providing a positive example, developing a positive culture and completing work on an agreed upon schedules

· Must have flexible work schedule and may be required to work on off-hours and weekends

· Must be able to read engineering/configuration drawings, work instructions

· Five years of combined experience performing and/or guiding internal and external audits.

· Thorough knowledge of AS9100 standard and Rockwell Collins policies, instructions and guidelines.
