Job Summary

This position requires experience in RF/Analog/Digital circuit design as it applies to advanced radiocommunication systems. This position will begin with a period of mentoring and eventual transition to assume the responsibilities as the cognizant engineer overseeing our VHF product .

Job Responsibilities

  • Handles field issues and leads redesign projects for obsolete parts and system upgrades.

  • Creates certification documentation for specific aircraft OEMs.

  • Addresses factory / test issues concerning several LRUs that make up the radar system.

  • Recreation of field issues in the lab and occasional travel for test flights to obtain data.

  • Upon mastery of the system, the applicant will participate in the design and creation of our future VHF systems.

  • Provide layout supervision and guidance of complex RF/Analog/Digital circuit card assemblies to dedicated board designers.

  • Participate in collaborative efforts to creatively solve problems in innovative ways.

  • Contribute lessons learned and improvements into next generation VHF systems.

  • Maintain positive relationships as part of a cross functional "TRIAD" team including members from Operations, Product Line, and Field Service.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.

  • Digital/Analog Design and Verification including FPGAs, DSPs, Logic, Memory Devices, Analog Converters, UARTS and point of load regulators

  • Experience with DO-254 and DO-160 process development standards

  • Good communication and documentation skills

Desirable Technical Skills/Experience:

  • Radio communication avionics equipment and systems

  • Project management
