The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and maintain both boundary scan test SW and other test SW for aviation product developments. The Test Engineering CoE develops an array of innovative test equipment solutions for Rockwell Collins products and programs. These test solutions are primarily targeted to our manufacturing and service customers, but are also delivered and used for engineering development and qualification efforts.
The engineer who fills this position must have boundary scan, development, troubleshooting and problem solving skills. These test stations include but are not limited by the following COTs equipment: fiber optic measuring devices, optical measuring devices, emulators, oscilloscopes, DMM's, and power supplies. This position also requires development and support of Environmental Stress Screening (thermal and vibration) test equipment and software suites. Many of the products also requires RF knowledge.
Boundary scan software/hardware test development design implementation and deployment
Develop Software and perform Systems Integration for the test CoE for various products
Develop Requirements Based Test Procedures and perform requirements based verification and test coverage analysis
Work with internal and external teams to coordinate requirements and development efforts
Collaborate and interact in a multi-functional, multi-discipline development team
Perform autonomously under the direction of technical and program management
Provide insight to program leadership of hardware and software product changes to the test development
*Provide technical information for bids of medium to high complexity development projects
*Coordinating test equipment design reviews and ensuring the generation of appropriate design documentation
Create and present task status and technical solutions to team members, engineering leadership
Project risk identification, mitigation, and escalation
Utilize strong interaction and interpersonal skills to drive team to success
Read and understand test requirements to predict execution issues
Work with the teams and other team leads to resolve complex issues
Experience with developing and supporting Asset Boundary scan and JTAG Technologies
Experience with developing and supporting software for test applications
Strong understanding of software engineering state of the art practices
Self-starter that can work in a highly cross functional environment and remove roadblocks
Excellent organizational skills

Stellar interpersonal skills
Fundamental knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Software Systems engineering and Test Equipment
Ability to work with the end user customer in a professional manner
Additional skills a plus:
- RF Experience
- Prior experience leading SW projects from conception to implementation
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required. Candidate must have 4 years of software and test experience.
