Job Summary

This position is responsible for the coordination of production plans, master production schedules and assembly schedules for assigned product families to support sales plans and achieve division objectives for inventory levels, productivity, manufacturing cost and customer service.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules, coordinates, and monitors top level products through the complete production cycle. Management of end item master production schedules; plans for finished goods inventory. Provides mentoring and coaching to less experienced Scheduler. Assignments are complex and include solving problems for which precedents do not exist but affect and involve all facets of production operations.

  • Coordinates and leads the new products transition process and TL material planning. Presents formal progress and schedule updates to Leadership on significant new product transitions.

  • Interface with Order Administration to resolve customer sales order exceptions. Processes short leadtime requests from a variety of customers including RCS, Manufacturing, Engineering, and LCVS Managers. Coordination with Procurement Specialists and Buyers on short-lead time customer requirements. Analyzes business processes and brings forth ideas with implementation plans. Leads projects and lean events to improve internal business processes.

  • Interface with both Manufacturing and Marketing through facilitation of the Demand, Planning and Execution process--Organizes and leads the DP&E meetings. Participates in the MRAP meetings. Exercises sound judgments on inventory decisions; erroneous actions could result in excess inventory affecting total company profit. Acts with little to no day-to-day direction.

  • Communicates with management and personnel from across the enterprise. Serves as an "expert on call" and prime contact to management on matters relating to the scheduling discipline.

  • Conducts training sessions with ERP users geared at expanding material requirements planning (MRP) knowledge across Operations. Recognizes business process issues and implements solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field or in absence of a degree, six or more years of experience in related field.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

  • Master Scheduling experience.

  • Manufacturing experience.

  • LEAN Experience.

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Understanding of customers and markets in Aerospace industry desired.

  • Ideally APICS Qualified (CPIM) ,.

  • Ideally SAP Experience within a planning & production environment

  • Excellent communication skills, customer orientation and team player.
