As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and pleased to offer a Quality Assurance Supervisor position at our facility located in New Berlin, WI.
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Supervisor will plan, coordinate and supervise activities related to the inspection/quality control functions to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.
Directly supervises nonexempt associates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Responsible for first-line direction of inspections/quality assurance associates involved in the development, implementation and maintenance of quality assurance systems, standards, inspection equipment and activities.
Prioritizes schedules based on product introduction and manufacturing schedules, maintaining a minimum turnaround time.
Assists in the hiring, training and motivation of associates supervised; implements training procedures for associates regarding inspections operation including drawings, prints, schematics and quality assurance standards.
Assures smooth operating of the inspection unit, maintaining daily records and reports.
Coordinates the disposition of rejected materials.
Provides input in the development of product specifications, inspection plans and workmanship standards.
Performs other related duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; and one (1) year quality assurance related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
