Job Summary

This position is responsible for identifying, analyzing, evaluating, recommending, pursuing and obtaining business opportunities for Rockwell Collins Government Systems - Fixed Wing Solutions. The position is focused on managing the US Navy and US Marine Corps fixed wing aviation business area. This includes having an understanding of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), and International defense agencies most important requirements and operational needs for Maritime Patrol, Anti-submarine Warfare, Airborne Warning, Nuclear Command & Control, Cargo/Air Refueling, VIP transport, and special mission aircraft. Responsibilities include developing coordinated win strategies that benefit Rockwell Collins by promoting products, systems, support services, expertise and customer affinity from all of the Rockwell Collins enterprise portfolios.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop capture plans for the capture of retrofit and new avionics positions on US Navy and US Marine Corps aircraft with a heavy emphasis on P-8, P-3, E-2, C-2, E-6, KC-130, and C-40 platforms

  • This position is a telecommuting position. Candidate must be willing to work from a home office with occasional travel to company and customer facilities.

  • Maintain personal contact and interface with key customers in such a manner as to influence future requirements, and/or operational capabilities, thus enabling Rockwell Collins to provide a solution to meet the customer's needs while improving Rockwell Collins probability to win.

  • Develop and lead Decision Point Reviews for new or expanded business areas identified from the above activities (DP-A, B and C) in accordance with the Rockwell Collins Management Authorization Process.

  • Create and manage the contact plan for primary customers and team members

  • Develop pursuit win Strategies, Themes, and Discriminators for the RC team

  • Conduct Price to Win models and competitive assessments.

  • Manage Customer Lifecycle Management tool ( by providing regular and relevant updates

A strong aviation background with particular emphasis on US Navy & US Marine Corps concepts of operation is required. A working knowledge of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) is desired. The ideal candidate will be a current or former Naval Aviator or Naval Flight Officer in the US Navy or US Marine Corps having flown a fixed wing platform in an operational capacity. A broad contact database to include US Navy, US Marine Corps Aviation, PMA-207, PMA-209, PMA-231, PMA-271, PMA-290, US Embassies abroad, Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), Boeing, Northrop Grumman, and Lockheed Martin is preferred.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience.

Must be a US Citizen.

Ability to obtain an active US DoD Security Clearance - Active clearance preferred -
