Job Summary

The Configuration Coordinator Role provides data management support in the MRP and PDM business systems related to maintenance of engineering data. This role is concerned with the data completeness and accuracy related to engineering change data. Requires the creation and/or updates to PDM Data Objects, Bills of Material, and Route Data necessary to process engineering changes through the business systems. The Data Coordinator Role provides data management support in the MRP and IMPACT business systems related to load and maintenance of manufacturer cross reference master data related to Component Application Engineering controlled parts. This role is concerned with the data completeness, accuracy, and alignment with business rules for vendor part number information on the MRP Purchasing Information Records and the qualification information in the MRP Quality Information Records, as well as the manufacturer cross reference information within IMPACT.

Job Responsibilities

  • Under limited supervision executes engineering master data input into business systems.

  • Reviews source documents for data input verifying accuracy and relevance of the input.

  • Ensures conformance of Data Requests to applicable policies and procedures.

  • Must have good customer relationships (may interface with engineering and/or operations regarding engineering).

  • Process data requests in accordance with the defined engineering and data change workflows.

  • Uderstands ECO packages with respect to the data requirement requests.

  • Seeks opportunities to improve processing of work through use of various business systems and tools.

  • Facilitates automated data processing with necessary processing failure identification, analysis and resolution.

  • Facilitates transition of manual activities to more automated means.

  • Prioritizes own work when working in a relatively stable to moderately stable environment.

  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and assists in the implementation.

  • Assists in the training/development of more junior peers to the extent defined by leader.

  • Assigns and monitors Engineering Change Objects in PDM business system.

  • May establish initial data review routes in PDM business system.

  • Maintains procedures and metrics to establish effective results striving for continual improvement.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Have experience with configuration management and data management processes and procedures

  • Have experience with Product Data Management or equivalent tools and applicable release processes for various type of product configuration information

  • Have experience with configuration change management and various release processes

  • Have experience with configuration management status accounting methods and value for maintaining those records

  • Be familiar with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management System CM-related processes and procedures

  • Have experience with customer service techniques and effective communication with coworkers

  • Have experience with multi-tasking and working in a team environment capable of changing priority based on business needs

  • Secret Clearance or ability to Obtain one is a plus
