Rockwell Collins Manager, Regional Sales in Shanghai, China

With a global installed base of 1 million passenger seats, the Aftermarket Services business offers a comprehensive aftermarket service to our customers. These services include spare parts supply and repair services across all classes of seat whether it is Super First Class, Business Class or Economy Class.

As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Manager, Regional Sales in our Aftermarket Business located in Shanghai.


Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the Manager, Regional Sales will direct efforts to achieve sales goals in multiple areas that constitute a region, in accordance with business marketing/sales plans. This position is at the second-level of sales management. It frequently consolidates support functions for the region to provide efficiencies of scale.


  • Ensure regional aftermarket sales goals are achieved through the active account management for assigned customer base

  • Develop and implement customer specific sales strategies; identify business opportunities and pinpoints problem areas

  • Actively call on key accounts. Develop relationships from working level up to Director level members of customer maintenance, purchasing, engineering, and marketing departments

  • Facilitate regularly scheduled formal business reviews to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved and maintained

  • Draft commercial proposals

  • Perform other related duties as required


  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience and eight years of related experience –OR- an equivalent combination of education and experience


  • MBA or equivalent post graduate degree

  • Experience in technical sales and/or engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry, is highly desired

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Strong inter-personal skills

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

  • Strong numerical, written, and verbal reasoning skills; ability to generate well written commercial quotations and proposals

  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
