Woven Electronics is the premier designer and integrator of interconnect and assembly packaging solutions. We custom design and manufacture electronic assemblies and components for systems, sub-systems, and test equipment for military and commercial aircraft, surface ship and ground applications. This 1st Shift Manufacturing Supervisor opening provides the right candidate with a great opportunity to learn, grow, and lead in the engineering field. This position will be the on-site Supervisor providing critical leadership and support to our Woven Electronics facility in Simpsonville, South Carolina.


This position directs all of the daily production activities required to meet all Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety objectives as defined by the organization. This includes supervision of nonexempt employees involved in production, assembly, subassembly or fabrication operations. .


  • Creates Standards (if no standard is already established), Maintains Standards through Tiered Meetings and Escalation process, and Improves Standards thorough Kaizen, Just-Do-It, Plan-Do-Check-Act, and other established Continuous Improvement and Lean methods.

  • Reviews and prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, historical efficiency data, material supply and personnel resources. Assign personnel and resources to maximize performance against Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety objectives.

  • Informs assigned associates of production and/or material problems and coordinate with support groups to resolve operational problem and return production back to Standard.

  • Participates in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures. Responsible for identifying root cause of process failures and implementing corrective actions through 5-Why and 8D techniques.

  • Develops schedules and personnel requirements for assigned areas; maintains a variety of reports, records and production documentation to reflect schedules, performance, methods, and other manufacturing aspects.


  • Associate's degree (A.A.) from two-year College or technical school preferred and three-to-five years’ experience in Manufacturing Supervision or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have excellent communication skills to be able to write routine reports and correspondence, to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates, and to clearly describe and relay technical information regarding product and quality.

  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook and able to learn various basic business computer programs.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear; and visually inspect. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
