Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering multiple airport projects primarily in North America with an occasional project being outside of North America on time and within budget.

Job Responsibilities

Applying project management skills and techniques such as:

  • Team leading, multi-tasking and financial management to deliver high quality projects Negotiating scope and terms with subcontractors; leading a diverse team of engineers and subcontractors to deliver successful projects exceeding customer expectations

  • Understanding and fully managing all financial aspects, including monthly EAC cost analysis, adjusting spend plans, performing earned value analysis

  • Understanding the essentials of, and assisting legal with the preparation of contracts; maintaining project documentation in accordance with ISO guidelines

  • Delegating work to appropriate people, whether they be with ARINC, the customer or 3rd parties; using project management tools, such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project to manage projects

  • Specifying, ordering and then monitoring the purchasing procedure to acquire equipment, and then authorize payment to suppliers; and obtaining system acceptance from customer and handing over the project to Customer Services staff

  • Preparing costing estimates and proposals for follow-on work; contributing to sales/marketing and proposal efforts, including customer presentations and being alert to new business opportunities

  • Being knowledgeable of all ARINC Airport Systems products and services to add strategic value to customers’ needs

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience, including four years of related experience as a Project Leader / Program Manager with total work experience exceeding this, ideally within the aviation industry

  • Experience working on international projects, strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects

  • Candidate must be a self-starter with ability to manage day-to-day project issues autonomously

  • Intermediate to advanced experience of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and other Microsoft Office tools as well as financial management experience

  • The candidate must be able to speak and write in English language

  • PMP Certification is highly desirable


  • The Program Manager will be required to travel to airport sites from 25 - 40% with durations up to two weeks on site.
