As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Shipping & Receiving Clerk in our Machine Products Group, located in Westminster, CA. This division of B/E Aerospace specializes in high-quality, complex components, assemblies, kits, gears, precision and gearbox assemblies, and complex machined parts for commercial and military aerospace applications.


Under general supervision, performs routine manual and administrative duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment and finished products.


  • Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ascertain that all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly labeled and that correlating documents are available with each shipment.

  • Look through work orders to determine order picking and issuing activities and pick/issue order according to the specific instructions provided, and process within ERP system.

  • Verifies identification and quality of product.

  • Prepares bills of lading.

  • Process and package product and orders for shipment through utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.

  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks and determining safe ways of stacking items on the truck and retrieving items in a safe matter.

  • Maintains inventory of cartons, tapes, crates, clamps, foams and other shipping material.

  • Ensure that materials are in proper locations. Conducts searches in order to locate misclassified inventory.

  • Receive incoming shipments and goods, process through ERP system.

  • Checks incoming goods against bills of lading, packaging slips, etc.

  • Verifies nomenclature, identification and quantity.

  • Maintains records of goods received

  • Record damaged or defective items and replace them according to company policies.

  • Routes materials to inspection stores or other destinations.

  • Determine storage areas for incoming shipments and allocate appropriate space within the warehouse.

  • Assist in physically moving incoming items to designated storage areas and supervise storage activities.

  • Cycle count raw materials finished goods, and component products on a daily basis.

  • Operates lift trucks, forklift, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of organization.

Mathematical skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


May require forklift certification.
