We are currently searching for a Mobile Calibration Technician to join our team in Wichita, KS (1090). A relocation package may be available for qualified candidates. Job Summary

This position will calibrate and repair a wide variety of equipment ranging from pressure, temperature, mass, torque and air data to name a few. If you are looking for a variety of work and interaction with the customer, this is for you. Job consists of daily support of internal and external customers by troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating test equipment in the lab and offsite with the mobile calibration lab. Travel is required, with up to 50% of time spent on travel to customer sites, and other Rockwell Collins sites.

Job Responsibilities

  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.

  • Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of highly complex technical tasks, which require an understanding of calibration techniques and/or repair techniques. Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative.

  • Performs as member of a technical team utilizing effective communication skills, including leadership role and interaction with higher-level leadership and customers. Actively promotes team decision making.

  • Provides technical recommendations for capital, expense and service acquisition.

  • Utilizes automated test or design software. Highly proficient at data analysis using required software tools.

  • Utilizes multiple pieces of advanced test equipment and calibration standards.

  • Demonstrates use of resources to enhance job and product performance. Is viewed as a technical resource to others.

  • Works from minimal documentation, written or verbal instructions, schematics, rough sketches, diagrams, layouts and plans often requiring interpretation.

  • Applies significant electronic theory to configure, model, layout, prototype, build, test, troubleshoot, determine solutions and modify electronic product for engineering efforts applicable to the department or program charter. May assist engineers with design and development of new processes and/or products.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associates degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of an associate's degree three years of related experience

  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency

  • Excellent customer service skills required.

  • Previous metrology experience a plus.

  • Must have or be able to obtain a CDL
