B/E Aerospace's Commercial Aircraft Segment is seeking an energetic, self-starter for the position of Director Materials and Logistics with its Seating Manufacturing Operations in Winston-Salem, NC. The position is responsible for integrating the functions of production control, traffic, and warehousing to support a manufacturing operation. This is an operational level position designed to pull together the logistics-related functions. It has accountability for additional significant functions (e.g., order entry, planning and customer service, and line management of transportation).

Position Responsibilities

  • Using shipping forecasts and commitments, develops production plans and schedules.

  • Identifies material requirements and timing in support of production.

  • Coordinates transportation and warehousing of incoming and outgoing materials.

  • Coordinates inventory and production schedules to optimize accuracy and costs.

  • Drives continuous improvement through improved processes and methods.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

  • Manages exempt and non-exempt associates, and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this team.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university and twelve-plus years related experience and/or training.

  • Managerial experience in one or more of the following functional areas: production control, traffic, warehousing, planning/master scheduling, and/or line management of transportation.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with stakeholders at all levels or the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
