As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Director of Supply Chain (Non-Production) in our Interior Systems Segment located in Winston-Salem, NC.

The Director of Supply Chain is a highly visible role, interacting with senior leadership and customers on a regular basis. This person will lead segment-wide efforts to source indirect material from qualified and capable suppliers that meet corporate, department, and product goals for cost, quality, service, and innovation.

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing professional to lead the planning and execution of key procurement strategies for our non product spend. The role will execute the transformation of our non product strategic sourcing activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The role will be responsible for leading a team to develop and execute strategies across organization-wide non product spend

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to deliver on customer objectives for services categories including professional services, temporary and contract labor, travel, energy, packaging supplies, MRO, facilities and/ or other non product categories

  • Develop and qualify indirect sources that meet the short-term and long-term objectives of the supply-chain organization that will enable the organization to meet or exceed its business objectives through world-class customer service and efficiency

  • Ensuree suppliers are held accountable for meeting continuous improvement initiatives both from a strategic and tactical

  • Develop strategic relationships with a targeted global supplier base in Asia, Eastern Europe and North America with integration across business units

  • Lead material portfolio analysis, market and cost analysis, strategic sourcing strategy, risk management, supplier evaluation and selection methodology, negotiation strategy, and supplier development

  • Partner with the Contracts organization in the implementation and management of non-production contracts

  • Review and approve purchasing activity such as new supplier set-ups, purchase orders over buyer threshold, requisitions, etc.

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external counterparts

  • Support cross-functional counterparts and projects as non-production subject matter expert (SME)

  • Enhance global supply chain systems that establish organizational effectiveness, defined processes, data integrity, and effective information systems

  • Further develop a world-class supply chain organization through identifying, coaching and mentoring supply chain professionals and operations leaders as part of an overall talent management effort to recruit, retain, and engage top talent

  • International and domestic travel is required (10-15%)

  • Perform other related duties as required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; and a minimum of eight+ years related experience, MBA preferred and CPSM certification a plus

  • Demonstrated success in nonproduct procurement or supply chain management roles, developing RF(x)s for non product materials Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn

  • Prior experience interfacing with clients and/or stakeholders at all organizational levels, especially within a services industry (e.g., professional consulting, BPO, outsourcing)

  • Strong organizational and project management skills to ensure on-time delivery

  • Experience with e-sourcing software is a plus, specifically, familiarity with SAP Ariba

  • Ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment

  • Strong communication skills with the proven ability to interact effectively with suppliers

  • Detail oriented with the keen ability deliver on client expectations, influencing others or escalating as needed to do so

  • Proven ability to build relationships and gain credibility in areas beyond defined scope of work

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
