As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Electrical Engineer in our Seating Products business located in Winston-Salem, NC.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning, design and oversight of the installation, operation and maintenance of electrical components, equipment and systems.

  • Performs standard engineering assignments usually representing a significant portion of a larger project. Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations.

  • Participates as a team member in specific phases of engineering assignments.

  • Directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.

  • Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within time and cost constraints.

  • Participates in defining engineering approaches, planning and scheduling work.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

  • Works independently or collaboratively with little or no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments.

  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Creating and modifying block diagrams, wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and associated documentation.

  • Creating and modifying test documentation

  • Participating in the troubleshooting of mock-up and production builds.

  • Creating and modifying ground strap routing to required ground points.

  • Adhering to aircraft electrical design requirements

  • Providing support to peers creating electrical routing.

  • Corresponding with suppliers, customers and aircraft mfgs.

  • Writing ECRs and ECOs.

  • Engaging actively in milestone meetings such as PDR, CDR and FAI.

  • Providing technical leadership to the production line employees when required.

  • Developing strong relationships between B/E departments such as Methods and Purchasing.

  • First-Time-Right Engineering.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university; minimum of three years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must be able to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and with external clients.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three (3) years aerospace industry experience.

  • Previous experience within the aerospace industry high desired.

  • Strong CAD skills

  • Ability to analyze block diagrams, wire diagrams and harness drawings.

  • Understanding product structure and assembly tree breakdowns.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Stay organized and prioritize multiple projects.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and technical periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government/OEM regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, associates, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and electrical engineering and statistical principles.

  • Ability to practically solve problems and manage a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Must be able to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and with external clients.
