As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Global Seating Program Management OEM/Installation Site Representative-Europe reporting to our Seating Products business which is headquartered in Winston-Salem, NC.

The Global Seating Program Management OEM/Installation Site Representative will be primarily based physically in Toulouse France/Hamburg Germany. Travel will be customary between this Base location to the OEM facilities(mostly AIRBUS) or other Installation Provider Facility during AC installations. As required, travel to home office in Winston Salem will be necessary.

JOB SUMMARY:

Global Seating Program Management OEM/Installation Site Representative reports directly to the Vice President of Program Management or a Departmental Director and will be responsible for managing customer expectations and Rockwell Collins Interior Systems Seating OEM and/or Integrator/Installation Interface Relationships pertaining to first of model deliveries, complex programs, and/or high profile customers with primary focus on Business Class Seating and First Class Seating for Twin Aisle Programs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Close coordination with the on-site Operations Director, OEM/Installation Supplier Management and the relevant OEM Seating/Installation Provider PM and Factory functions, including Customer Support Organizations (Winston Salem and Tucson/Miami) managing local customer relationships and providing program continuity between the Rockwell Collins seating home offices to the OEMs through cabin installation at the OEMs, Integrator or other selected Installation Provider.

  • Coordinates in conjunction with Rockwell Collins Seating identification of Site Needs at OEM/Installation Provider and with on Site Rockwell Collins Field Service Office at the OEM/Installation Provider as well as identification of any additional OEM resources – whether Seating Home Office or Rockwell Collins Field Support and support of those activities for First of Model implementations that may be required.

  • In conjunction with Rockwell Collins Field Service Office, determine and communicates Customer needs and/or feedback between all parties.

  • Assists the Rockwell Collins Field Site Service Office with the coordination and implementation of changes to configurations (SB) or other emergent requirements (SL) during line-fit activities where Seating OEM coordination or resources may be required. The same support could be required for other than OEM Line Fit Installations.

  • Manages letter of commitment (LOC) responsibilities between customer, OEM/Installation Provider and PM offices that supports aircraft delivery schedule.

  • Coordinates activities with relevant operations ( whether home offices or production facilities) to ensure project progresses on schedule and meets contractual commitments.

  • Participates, when applicable, in developmental meetings with customers and OEM/Installation Provider (ITCM, DFMA etc.) as well as sustaining activities.

  • Develops Global Seating Program activity forecasts

  • Performs other related duties as required.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university

  • Eight (8) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Aircraft cabin interiors experience

  • Cabin installation background such as: MRO management, airline maintenance, flight line or integrators

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Program management experience in aircraft seating industry

  • Previous experience working with OEMs such as Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, etc. or with Non-OEM integrators (SRT, DLH TEKNIK, Jamco, Haeco, NAT etc)

  • Direct Airline Experience in Cabin Development/Program Management Role including seating
