As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Electrical Engineering Manager position in the Super First Class segment of our Seating Products business located in Winston-Salem, NC.


Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Electrical Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading the electrical team in development of projects, systems or processes as part of the engineering program.


  • Manages the electrical engineering over a range of products or processes.

  • Focuses on managerial concerns of the project such as cost, completion date, and resource allocation.

  • Provides expert resolution on issues and monitors integration of work.

  • Reviews technical concepts of projects.

  • Participates in lean manufacturing activities to stream line the development process, and generate standard work.

  • Interacts with customers to ensure project objectives are achieved and addresses customers’ technical concerns and requirements including any technical reporting and inquiries.

  • Escalates program challenges to leaders as appropriate.

  • Responsible for recruitment, performance reviews, and training needs of direct reports.

  • Provides regular status reports of project engineering progress for electrical needs to the customers by agreed time as well as leadership teams.

  • Assists in preparations of proposals, including review of specifications, terms and conditions, equipment selection and overall cost structure.

  • Conducts and Participates in daily WIP Board meetings with teams as required.

  • Interfaces regularly with internal stakeholders (supply chain, operations, account managers, customer service) and external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, regulatory authorities) across multiple locations and cross functional relationships.

  • Identifies process creation and/or improvement opportunities and strives for continuous improvement in the role and function.


  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in electrical engineering from four-year college or university; and at least five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.

  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally approximately 15%


  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a manufacturing and engineering environment

  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams of engineers and handle complex projects

  • Well organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities

  • Desire to identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead projects to make improvements to processes, procedures, etc. through Kaizen/Lean Manufacturing.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access
