As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Project Engineering position in the Super First Class segment of our Seating Products business located in Winston-Salem, NC.


Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Project Engineer will be responsible to guide a team through the day to day tactical duties for assigned programs.


  • Provides technical support to all engineering persons within a project team.

  • Maintains and oversees accurate engineering cost and milestone tracking.

  • Provides regular technical progress updates to the Engineering Product Manager and Engineering Manager.

  • Provides regular status reports of project engineering progress for all disciplines to the customer by agreed time with a copy.

  • Assess applicably of proposed test/products/equipment to assigned project(s).

  • Assists in preparations of proposals, including review of specifications, terms and conditions, equipment selection and overall cost structure.

  • Conducts and Participates in daily WIP Board meetings with teams as required.

  • Interfaces regularly with internal stakeholders (supply chain, operations, account managers, customer service) and external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, regulatory authorities) across multiple locations and cross functional relationships.

  • Identifies process creation and/or improvement opportunities and strives for continuous improvement in the role and function.


  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year accredited university

  • Five (5) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Previous experience with a 3D CAD software and PDM systems

  • Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint experience

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a manufacturing and engineering environment


  • Experience in a highly regulated industry, especially aerospace.

  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of labor market conditions.

  • Well organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities

  • Desire to identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead projects to make improvements to processes, procedures, etc. through Kaizen/Lean Manufacturing.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
